CIAT Architectural Technologist / Part 2 Architectural Assistant
Location: Uxbridge, West London (Office-based with occasional WFH flexibility)
About Us
We are Quatrefoils, a Uxbridge-based team of Chartered Surveyors and Construction Consultants with a passion for quality and creativity in everything we do. Specialising in architectural design, building surveying, and project management, we’re more than just a team—we’re a supportive, close-knit group that values collaboration and high standards.
As a growing firm, we work hard but never miss a chance to keep things lively, with regular team lunches, office games, and company outings. With us, you’ll have the chance to work directly with senior staff who are dedicated to your growth and success. Whether you’re on-site or in the office, every day will bring fresh challenges and experiences, backed by a team that’s always got your back.
Position Overview
We’re seeking a talented CIAT Architectural Technologist or RIBA Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join our team and bring both technical skill and a proactive mindset. In this role, you’ll be hands-on with a variety of projects, from residential extensions, new builds and refurbishments to educational projects, as we are the retained surveyors for over 25 Greater London schools. There may also be opportunities to work on occasional commercial projects, adding even more variety to your experience.
This position offers an ideal blend of office and on-site work, with chances to collaborate closely with senior team members and the wider team. If you’re ready to engage in every stage of the project lifecycle with a friendly, dedicated team by your side, this role could be your next career step.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Create technical designs and detailed drawings using AutoCAD and Revit for various residential projects (extensions, refurbishments, etc.).
- Ensure all work aligns with building regulations, approved documents, and statutory approval processes.
- Work closely with our enthusiastic team on exciting collaborative projects.
- Produce high-quality visual representations (experience with Photoshop/InDesign/CGI would be a massive plus).
- Regularly visit construction sites, working from design to completion
- Assist our building surveying team with various surveying duties—it’s a mixed bag, so expect variety. Whilst the role will involve a lot of design and drawing work, the role will also benefit from exposure to building surveying and general practice services.
-
Participate in training, CPD workshops, and team-building activities (from professional development to our legendary office outings).
-
Collaborate with the team on fun and engaging projects—creativity is encouraged, and coffee breaks are mandatory.
