Quatrefoils were appointed as Project Lead and Contract Administrator during the design stages of this extensive project at a truly stunning detached house in Surrey.
The project Architect obtained planning permission and building regulations consent for a combination of single and two storey extensions to the property, dramatically increasing the overall footprint of the building. The scope of work included internal remodelling and improvements to suit the client’s requirements with a view to provide ample living accommodation for three generations of the family with some independent self-contained sections.
The project surveyor Richard Maude met with the client on a number of occasions and worked closely to prepare a detailed specification, which covered all of the specified finishes, paint colours, kitchens, bathrooms, ironmongery etc. as well as usual construction details. This enabled a button tight specification to be created, allowing contractors to accurately price the project, giving the client the best cost certainty pre-start.
This was followed by an in depth tender analysis and report to the client with our recommendations.
On site, the works were closely monitored by Quatrefoils with weekly site inspections and progress meetings. Quatrefoils were essential in the successful delivery of the project ensuring the works were carried out to the highest standard and the project was delivered under budget.
